Vice President
Description
The Vice-President of WRAP is responsible for assisting the president with her/his/hir duties and with initiating and executing those duties in the absence of the president.
Duties
Assist the president with the following duties:

Treasurer
Description
The Treasurer of WRAP composes and maintains the budget of WRAP funds, in cooperation with the Director of the Rhetoric and Writing program. Treasurer coordinates the disbursement/reimbursement of funds for WRAP sponsored events with Judy Easterbrook, Administrative Assistant for MSU RW program. Treasurer also participates in planning meetings for WRAP sponsored events.
Duties
communicate with Director of MSU RW about available funds
Draft and manage operating budget for WRAP funds
Arrange and manage disbursement of funds through MSU accounts, along with Judy Easterbrook
Coordinate reimbursement of funds as necessary (some events can not be paid directly from the MSU account
share budget information with WRAP officers
Web Media Coordinator (formerly Web Secretary)
Description
The Web Media coordinator is responsible for managing WRAP's digital internal and external communications.
Duties
Organize and Design WRAP's communication strategy
Maintaining the Facebook Page
Maintaining the Twitter Feed
Managing the Google Calender
Creating Events pages on Facebook, Google, and the Wiki (this website)
Keeping master notes at meetings
Posting these notes on the Wiki
RWGAC PhD Representative
Description
Is elected, by MSU R&W PhD student peers, to the Rhetoric & Writing Graduate Advisory Committee for one academic year term (August to May). Is required to attend 2-to-3 hour meetings weekly (sometimes every other week).
Duties
Attend all meetings
Give input on behalf of MSU R&W PhD students (and to some extent, all graduate students)
Solicit input and opinions and feedback from MSU R&W PhD students
Engage fully on the committee in any ways asked
Participate in any necessary subcommittees as needed
Spend time in December and January participating in PhD and MA admissions processes (reading files, ranking, writing feedback, deliberating in admissions meeting(s)).

Is required to regularly attend 90-minute committee meetings - for the 2011-2012 academic year, this representative needs to be available from 10:30 to 12:00 on Friday mornings. The Advisory Council of the department advises the chair, as the WRAC Bylaws put it "with respect to Departmental matters, including those of promotion, appointments, and the preparation of Departmental program plans" (3.3.1).
